Standard III
As part of our exciting Book Week celebrations, we had the pleasure of hosting an online session with acclaimed author Adithi Rao at Akshara High School! She captivated our young Std. 3 readers with an engaging session on her heartwarming book, Will Goondi Come Home?
Students were enthralled as Adithi Rao shared the inspiration behind her story, taking them on an imaginative journey filled with emotions, adventure, and the love for animals. She posed a question and asked for personal responses on βWill you choose money or friends?β
The interactive session sparked curiosity and encouraged our students to explore the magic of storytelling.

Our Std. 5 students had an unforgettable online session with author Adithi Rao, who visited Akshara High School to discuss her book Scent of Roses. πΉπ
She engaged students in a calming meditation activity, helping them relax and center themselves. π§ββοΈπ To awaken their imagination, she encouraged them to draw a picture of the emotion they were feelingβa powerful exercise in self-expression! π¨β¨Even though the session was online, she left no stone unturned to make it interesting and interactive.
It was a truly inspiring and creative session, leaving young minds enriched and energized! π‘π
Standard V and VI
As part of Book Week, our Std. 5 & 6 students had a magical session with author Payal Kapadia, who shared insights into her book Wisha Wozzariter. ππ
She took us through her inspiration behind the book, blending whimsy with deep emotions while exploring the process of writing. βοΈβ¨ She highlighted the importance of imagination and engaged students in a fun storytelling activity, where they created their own short stories! ππ
The journey of writing came to life as students mapped out their creative process using a colorful storytelling map! π¨πΊοΈ Payal Kapadiaβs warmth and thoughtfulness shone through as she shared personal anecdotes and answered questions, leaving students truly inspired to become writers themselves! π‘π

Standard VI and VII
Our Std. 6 & 7 students had an engaging and insightful session with author & journalist Harshika Udasi during Book Week on her Writing Workshop at Akshara High School! πποΈ
She guided us smoothly through the art of writing a news report, sharing valuable insights into journalism, key abbreviations, and writing techniques. π°π But what truly captivated us were the personal anecdotes she sharedβeach one more fascinating than the last! πβ¨

Standard IX
As part of Book Week, our Std. 9 students had the privilege of interacting with author Payal Kapadia as she spoke about her book Woebegone Warehouse of Words. π€π
She shared how books help us understand the world and act as detectors that sense when something is wrong. ππ‘ She took us on a fascinating journey through language, explaining how every word traces back to Proto-European roots and how dictators manipulate language to divide people in their pursuit of power. βοΈπ
Payal Kapadia also revealed the deeper symbolism behind her book’s cover pageβthe light wings of the butterfly represent freedom, fragile yet vital. π¦β¨ Her favorite word-character? “Luminous”βbecause it signifies hope. π«π
